Background: Oktober Duana Kavanagh, it was always a mouthful. Her parents, Eileen and Trevor dubbed her Duana after her grandmother and Oktober simply being her mothers favorite time of year. She was born in Bray, just outside of Dublin, Ireland. Three months there and the three of them packed up and moved back home to Boston, Massachusettes. She grew up watching her mothers substance abuse and, finally, her breakdown. At the age of 12, Oktober open the bathroom door in time to watch her mother end her life with a blade from an old-fashioned razor. Trevor did 'his best' to care for her since it was just the two of them, but more often that not it seemed she was doing all the caring. Her father spent his time working long days and sometimes into the night. So...she learned to stand on her own. Four years later, her father lost control of his 4-door sedan, slid into a tree, and was pronounced D.O.A. That's when the nightmares started.

She was sent to live with the last remaining member of her family. Aunt Cara in Dublin. Aunt Cara wasn't very fond of company so once Oktober turned 18, she made her escape back to Boston. A month later, she attempted suicide. Luckily it was a failed attempt.

Since then she's been living in an apartment kept company by a string of odd jobs, an abusive boyfriend, nightmares, and a doctor who insists she needs professional help. And, of course, he knew just the place. An institution by the name of Cherry Hollow.


Personality: Oktober tends to keep a smile on her face when she can. Better to hide her thoughts than be asked about them. In the company of others, she's polite and friendly although it takes some time for her to open-up and trust. She's a calm person who dislikes arguements. She carries a leather-bound book with her at all times although she hasn't written anything in quite a long time.
